Until now, the media database has been trialled by member firms in the UHY Ambassador Firm Programme (AFP).
But UHY is now rolling it out internationally – to coincide with the launch of a 'thought leadership' project to support global public relations, as reported in the last UHY exchange. See:
'Thought leadership' articles will support PR
The external media database (pictured below) lists key media contacts in all regions to whom press releases, articles and invitations can be circulated.
It is available through the intranet here (you must be logged on to the intranet for this link to work):

"The database allows member firms to identify appropriate local and international media contacts in their own territories so that they can start reaching out to them and developing ongoing relationships," says UHY marketing & business development manager, Dominique Maeremans.
'Thought leadership' materials for use by firms globally – and in some cases with focussed content to suit a more regional approach – are being developed by the Ambassador firms with the support of an external PR agency, Mattison Public Relations.
"The development of international thought leadership articles is important to the success of the overall AFP and to support the PR and marketing efforts of all our member firms in the network," says Dominique. "Successfully developing media relations is also an important element of our PR programme."
Online training sessions by webinar (lasting approximately one hour) have been arranged to help member firms understand the database's functionalities.
The one-off training, by database developers Marketwire, will be run for each of the UHY regions only on the dates listed below:
Europe, Middle East & Africa: Monday 11 April, 13.00 hrs (UK time)
Americas: Tuesday 12 April, 18.00 hrs (UK time)
Asia-Pacific: Wednesday 13 April, 08.30 hrs (UK time).
After the training users will have access to a 24-hour helpline that will assist with further questions or support.
